Dear all,

I have a problem and i hope you can help!

I have a 48V 250W BLDC, 3 Hall-Sensors. (Ebike)

10 pole pairs

It is connected to a Solo UNO V2

What i want is to control the motor with an analog throttle. But when i connect it to the UNO the motor directly starts.

I connected it like this.

5V output > red cable

S/T input > green (signal)

Gnd > gnd

Pin 1 is down (piano)

Pin 5 is down (piano)

What i noticed is that the throttle has a minimum voltage of 0.8V and the max is 4.8V.

So again, if i just connect the throttle it wil run immediately

In Speed mode it goes to 11 km/h (30 is its max)

In Torque mode it goes to 30km/h (it has no load)

Is there a way to change the voltage the S/T pin will react to? What am i doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Bram

Hello @bramw,

The Analogue inputs on SOLO are rated for 0-5.0V , so 0.8V is a considerable value, one thing you can do is reduce the "Analogue S/T Max Speed" down to the maximum speed that you want to reach at 5V in Motion Terminal, by default that value can be at 8,000RPM, so 0.8V will be something like 1280RPM!

So basically you are increasing the S/T resolution so that 0.8V doesn't translate to a high speed.

Let me know if this could help.

If i understand things right, your Throttle is a Potentiometer?

If so, and you want to go in Analogue Speed-Mode you have to set Pianopin 4 down, and set the Analogue Gains with a screwdriver.

Hello @villus,

In our latest firmware is possible to set the gains even in analogue mode within motion terminal ( so those blue potentiometers on UNO or MINI) will be discarded, you need to use the option called ( Analogue mode with Digital speed gains).

Hope this could help.
