Interfacing SOLO with a Resolver feedback

Hi,
How could I, the most easily possible, use the SOLO to make a position closed-loop with a Resolver feedback integrated in a PMSM ?
Resolvers are widely used in harsh environments.

Do you plan on upgrading the SOLO with such native interface in the future ?
If you do so, I might suggest using an AD2S1210 circuit from Analog Devices. It has a backward compatibility with an Encoder output towards the control unit.

I might try to implement the AD2S1210 on a separate board to send the encoder signals to the inputs of the SOLO, if no better solution arises.

Thanks for the message, unfortunately at the moment SOLO UNO will only support incremental Encoders to control the position of a PMSM, in our next products we are going to put a native Resolver unit, but that will come with different hardware in the future.

yes, this seems a good solution, for SOLO to operate in Position mode you need both of the Encoder pulses plus the index pulse which is generated once every turn.

However, there are other options that can be used as a virtual encoder like below, which is an IC that if it's installed in the vicinity of the shaft of the motor, it will generate Encoder-like signals that will mimic a real encoder output behavior, you can find more info about such IC's below as one of the famous ones is AS5047 and we have some users using that with SOLO:
