Identification and self-tuning for dc motor

Hello, we want to automatic parameter Identification and self-tuning for dc motor via solo uno driver, we work using control from Raspberry Pi4.

Hi @abdullah,

In general, you can identify your Motor parameters in two ways:

  1. In Analog Mode, after selecting the motor type by the piano switch ( in your case for DC motors, both PIN 1 and 2 should be Down), and then Pressing PIN number 5 Down when SOLO is ON, if you do that you will see the Motor will vibrate for like 2 seconds and then the parameters are identified.
  2. In Digital Mode, by sending the Identification Command for instance in Motion Terminal, you can press the Motor Identification button and it will do the same job as what we did in 1st method mentioned before. ( select the motor type before)

In raspberry Pi, in our Python library there is the function called "set_identification()" and if you pass 1 to its input it will identify the Motor, for instance in this example that we just published at the line ( 138), we have "__solo_driver.set_identification(1)" that sends the Motor ID. command to SOLO, remember, always before running the Identification, you need to select the motor type first.
